This page explains what data is collected when you visit cppdepend.com and how it is used.

1. Cookies & analytics

When you first visit the site, a consent banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies:

Google Analytics 4 — only loaded after you accept. It sets analytics cookies (e.g. _ga) to measure traffic in aggregate. If you decline, Google Analytics is never loaded and no analytics cookie is set.
Ahrefs Web Analytics — a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics script. It does not set any cookie and does not track individual visitors.
Consent cookie (cppdepend_consent) — remembers your accept/decline choice for 6 months. Strictly necessary, no personal data.
Language cookie — may remember your preferred language for redirection. Strictly necessary.

2. Download log

When you download a CppDepend package, we log the following in a private server file:

the downloaded file name,
your IP address,
the date and time (UTC) of the download.

This log is used solely for security monitoring and download statistics. It is stored on our server, is not shared with third parties, and is not publicly accessible.

3. Purchases — Paddle

Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. When you purchase a license, Paddle collects the data required to process the payment (name, email, billing details). Paddle acts as an independent controller for payment processing; see Paddle's own privacy policy on paddle.com.

4. What we do not do

We do not sell or rent personal data.
We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies.
We do not load any third-party tracker before your consent.

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at support@cppdepend.com. If you are in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
